Summary and Invitation:
The global pandemic has brought to the forefront the need for flexible and varied educational engagement models. It is vital educators share the most effective strategies for using distance learning tools and techniques to address both immediate needs and plans for the future. On Tuesday, July 21, we will have a conversation with experts in K-12 and higher education distance learning about key considerations as we plan, including:

• Strategic course and lesson design to leverage virtual learning platforms
• Determining when to use synchronous versus asynchronous activities
• Embedding strategies to increase student engagement
• Creating structures to support equitable access to distance learning platforms
• Implementing Universal Design for Learning principles to create a meaningful and challenging virtual learning environment
